What do they do? Why do we need them?
Just like the many foodwe eat & enjoy, we should always educate ourselves on the benefits and nutrients that are provided based on the choices we make. If we know why we need to eat more of something and the benefits and positive impacts it can have on our health, we are more likely to make it a habit to include in our diet!
Same thing goes for curl care! Healthy, vibrantvoluminous curls comes from making choices to use products like Rizos Curls that  include natural extracts and ingredients that encourage everything we seek to love, enjoy, and celebrate our waves, curls and coils

ARGAN OIL

What is Argan Oil?

Argan Oil also known as Morrocan Oil, is sourced and produced from the Moroccan Argan Tree. This naturally occurring plant oil is derived from the kernels of the fruit of the Argan Tree. Although native to Morocco and used in the Morracan country and culture for centuries, the benefits of Argan Oil have spread across the world and it is now widely used by many people because the secret has been shared of Argan Oil's benefits to the skin, body and hair, especially curly hair. The benefits of Argan Oil are so plentiful and abundant, due in part to all the many nutrients and vitamins it contains.  Argan Oil contains vitamin A and E, omega-6 fatty acids, linoleic acid, antioxidants and other essential nutrients they provide an extensive list of health benefits. It has been dubbed the "Morrocan Liquid Gold" as its value to hair and skin is similar to that of our most sought after precious metal.

There are many, many oils that boast benefits to hair and skin, however Argan Oil is the leader.  Argan Oil has become the go -to oil  to repair and revive badly damaged hair. The many benefits of Argan Oil include that it has rich nutrients that help transform badly damaged hair into amazing healthy hair, within a short period of time. Argan Oil contains incredible vitamins like vitamin A and E that work miracles on your damaged curls.

Argan Oil is an important and valuable ingredient in our Rizos Curls Deep Conditioner.  Argan Oil hydrates and softens the hair, enhances hair elasticity, and prevents breakage. It also nourishes the scalp & helps promote healthy hair growth. We include Argan Oil in Rizos Curls Deep Conditioner to provide a deep level of occlusive moisture that binds to the surface of the hair, helping the hair to retain moisture longer.

Argan Oil For Scalp

Healthy curls always start with a healthy scalp! If you suffer from a dry, itchy and flaky scalp not only can it be embarrassing to have any or all of these types of conditions to deal with, it is simply uncomfortable. Dry scalp occurs when there is lack of natural oils which typically occurs with over-washing the hair with drying shampooing products that contain sulfates or removing natural oils from your scalp & hair and not replenishing the moisture lost.  A dry, flaky scalp is also common during winter months when the colder temperatures dehydrate your hair and skin. Similar to how you might use a body butter or body oil for dry skin on your body,  you will find it beneficial to change up your curl care and use products that keep curls hydrated on a regular basis as part of your curl care routine. Moisture and hydration are the key components to great curls, so using products that include the benefits Argan Oil provides is everything your curls want!

Taking care of your scalp by using our "one-two power punch" of Rizos Curls Hydrating Shampoo and Rizos Curls Deep Conditioner helps you to provide the balance you need to have a healthy scalp and shiny, soft curls with great elasticity. Because Argan Oil combats excess oil and has anti-oxidant properties while keeping the scalp moisturized, it greatly benefits your scalp and the length of your hair all in one. Your scalp is where cells are generated and stimulated to encourage new hair growth and give you strong, resilient curls!

Argan Oil For Curly Hair

All the AMAZING benefits of Argan Oil make it a fantastic ingredient to  include in curly hair products. Argan Oil has so many benefits for curls including being an incredible moisturizer for dry, damaged hair, but it also acts as a protective barrier to help prevent heat damage and protection against the damage caused by UV rays.  Argan Oil helps prevent dry, brittle hair, and nourishes curls by providing that water-oil barrier to lock in moisture. Any water based moisture cannot pass through an oil barrier ( think water and oil don’t mix) and  Argan Oil can act as that barrier for your curls. Argan Oil also contains Vitamin E, another beneficial ingredient in many skin and hair products. Vitamin E is known to help prevent inflammation, prevent coronary heart disease and even supports the body’s immune function. Argan Oil is rich in Vitamin E and combined with the healthy fatty acids, it makes it a superpower for healthy skin and hair. In addition to Vitamin E, Argan Oil is packed with polyphenols, and CoQ10 which are all anti-inflammatory compounds. These combined components can help irritated, inflamed skin especially angry, itchy, flaky skin on your scalp. These skin benefits are critical when caring for the skin on your scalp as your hair is only as healthy as your scalp! Alsosplit ends, brittle , frizzy hair is no match for the power house of Argan Oil!  Overtime the strength, texture and touch ability of your hair will be noticeably different with regular use of products that contain Argan Oil.  This super-ingredient packs such benefits it's been credited with strengthening curls, preventing breakage and contributing to thicker, fuller hair and enhanced hair growth. We can’t think of a reason why you would not want to add it to your curl routine! Everything to gain with Argan Oil, nothing to lose except damage and frizz!
